Smoke-Free 1: Guided relaxation with positive suggestions for stress relief, plus suggestions to stop smoking. As smoking is a self-medicator for relieving stress, incorporating stress relief tools and techniques is an integral part of quitting the smoking habit. The recording is designed to be used at least once/day for days 1-14, (preferably as you drift off to sleep). At day 15, shift to Smoke-Free 2 for 14 consequetive days. This recording includes suggestions to remain a non-smoker for life.

Postpone each cigarette impulse during the day, by taking 10 deep breaths with the word “RELAX” at each exhale. The breathing, with the word command, reduces physical stress, quickly. This “breath break” replaces your cigarette break. In time, with the combination of the mp3 and breathing technique, the habit drops off, naturally. The urges to smoke will become less and less frequent. The habit simply drops away. And you will not gain any excess weight, as the stress reduction suggestions will keep you from adopting another self-medicator, such as impulse eating.
